What are you reading? What have you read?

Is there a certain zombie book or short story that blew you away? I have read some cool stories on this site so what are you guys reading to inspire you? I love most all zombie novels. Even the crappy heavily flawed self published stuff. Tell me!

Oh ya I forgot...
I never read "Insomnia" by King but the story seems very interesting. I really hated the movie though. Let me know what you think when you are done please.

Let's get some book collection pics going here. I will take some this week myself. I suck at photography so the wifey is gonna have to do it. Anybody got any cool author autographs they can take pics of would be great also. I have a bunch and love them. I grew up thinking autographs were really stupid, but now I dig them in books. I do cherish my Mike Patton autographs too.

Cool blog! Anybody got anymore?

I read "Dead End" by Anthony Giangregorio last week and it was pretty bad ass. Standard shuffling zombie story except it had this crazy pastor who would see Jesus as a mini little guy like Ms Butterworth or something and he would tell the pastor who to feed to the zombies. It was nuts.

I am now reading "The World is Dead" by Kim Paffenroth and I am 4 stories into it and of course it rules. Well it is edited by Paffenroth, not written. Anyway when I am done with it I have his other zombie book called "Gospel of the Living Dead As Told by George Romero." It apparently breaks down each of the movies and explains their significance in society and whatever else that genius Paffenroth wants us to know about them I guess.

I skimmed through my copy of "Zombie CSU" by Jonathan Maberry over the weekend. This dude is intense and has broken down a zombie attack scenario and explains it in a CSI way that is beyond interesting. Everybody is who is anybody in zombie media universe participated in this sucker. I mean fuckin everybody. This should maybe be mandatory reading for all Komrads. Got my copy for like 3 bucks on ebay. I did a terrible job of explaining this book so if you have any questions please ask me when I am a little more sober.

Um, I've read "The Rising". Also read the sequel. I think I'd asked someone on here about the order in which to read them. Excellent books! I've since picked up 3 more of his but decided to read David Wellington's 4 vampires novels, which were all very entertaining and difficult to put down, and the second and third in his "Monster" trilogy. I'd read the first one a while ago but was told by a friend that the sequels weren't all that good. I loved 'em and would recommend both of those series. I'm excited now to get back to reading Keene's work.

I apologize for the outburst. I get excited about Brian Keene books, all of them. Not just the zombie stuff.

I hope one day to have my own hardback copy of The Rising. I saw one go for $375 on ebay about a year ago. It is never under $500, but I just couldn't swing it. Someday. I do have several of his other books in hardback and they are beautiful and sick.

I rocked through the rest of the Rookie last night and it was really good. If you like football and or SciFi you will eat the shit out of this book. Ask me if you have any questions about it.
Anyway I started Dead End A Zombie Novel today and it already is my kind of zbook. I am exciting about this one. I have read other zombie books by Anthony Giangregrio and I liked them a lot. He has the most zombie literature on the market easy. Busy dude.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
