YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
Is there a certain zombie book or short story that blew you away? I have read some cool stories on this site so what are you guys reading to inspire you? I love most all zombie novels. Even the crappy heavily flawed self published stuff. Tell me!

Comment by R.J. Spears on January 18, 2013 at 11:04am If anyone is interested in short stories featuring zombies, they may want to consider Tales of the Zombie War. They have some great stories. And I don't mean to spam, but one of my stories just got published on the site. It's called "The Exhibit."
Comment by MissAnn Thrope on January 18, 2013 at 2:02am I highly recommend 'Breathers: A Zombie's Lament' by S.G. Browne. A great book wtih an original plot, characters you want to know more about, and an ending that will make you want to cry.
Just began another Dean Koontz classic. The Vision. I am a huge Koontz fan!
The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governer.
A MUST READ!! For any fan of The Walking Dead series you must, must read this book. It explains how The Governer came to be amidst the outbreak. You will be shocked.
For zombie lovers period, this book is an amazing read. Even if you never heard of The Walking Dead t.v/comic series, this story could stand on its own as its own.
(Note: this book is the first in a trilogy written by Robert Kirkman of The Governers rise to and current position of power amongst the town.)
Comment by Alan Wayne on October 26, 2012 at 10:20pm Effigies...A beautifully brutal tale of the Living Dead will be available late January/early February 2013 from Bradley Publishing. The moaning, that god awful in human sound that fills the still night air. I have seen it drive many a man to the depths of insanity, how I miss it! For it is times like these when the world grows quite and the demons lurking in the shadows of my mind crawl out of there depths bringing with them the memories that haunt my very soul. I have had to do countless evil things, even become the devil himself to survive. The worst of them always comes first, my greatest betrayal! Made all the more…

Me and Matty went into a house today. One of the neighbors houses, it was the first time for us, being in a neighbors home. I guess it was because I never took the time to get to know our neighbors like I should, now its too late. So I can’t tell you if they were good people or not, I wouldn’t even be able to tell you there last name was Ross, if it wasn’t for the fact it was stenciled on the side of the mailbox. I leave Matty in the car with the keys, I taught him how to driver just before…

It’s quite, the only sound that fills the air is the click of my lighter as a flip the cap on and off. It’s a nervous habit I have even now long after I quite smoking. Not for lack of desire to do so, but for lack of supply. Going on three months now and no mater where I search they always turn out empty on cigarets. Food water ammo and Cigarets, the things that ran out first when everything went to shit. You wouldn’t think smokes would be very high on someone list when there buying for the…

Four words, that’s all it took for the world to come to an end, four little words.
The first time I saw the words that ended the world, I thought it was a joke. I was on my computer mindless web surfing as I did most days. It was a clip on YouTube that first got my attention. Some granny low pixel video of a guy holding up a New York times newspaper, that days newspaper, November 1st 2007 a Monday. The end of the world began on an average Monday, with four little words. “We Lost…
