Three Itty Bitty Kitties

Early this morning, when I was in the bathroom and trying to find my boots while stressing about my Govt. final, I heard a mewing noise, like a kitten. I stopped, but the sound didn't, and I went out to my backyard to investigate, but there was no noise. Not only that, but when I went back to the bathroom, it was silent. I frowned and walked into the hall. "Mell," I asked, puzzled. "Did you hear that, or am I just losing my sanity?"

"You have to be sane to actually lose your…

Writer's Dedication

I'm such a writer! I constantly find myself wanting to write something, but I never know just what to write! I've lost all ideas of inspiration. Usually, if I think of something interesting, I can sit down and totally write about it, but lately, I haven't had any amazing thoughts and thus no stories have been written. It's saddening, because I have to admit I adore writing.

Freddy Valler--6

Lilly laughed. "Yeah, okay, whatever you say, Valler."

"Have you ever heard the quote, 'sarcasm isn't the lowest form of wit. It's not even wit at all,' Lilly?"

She mock punched me in the arm. "You're an ass." It was obvious she didn't mean it, if her bright eyes were anything to go on.

   "I try," I answered truthfully.

"Well, it works. Oh, my, God. There's Tomas!" Lilly squealed and I winced. That girl sure has a pair of lungs on her. Damn.

Wicked Gardening - Part 2

3 months of gardening, several nights of being sore from pullin' weeds, a hundred mosquito bites and a few water bills later, *drum roll* and I have 2 squash and a handful o' green beans. Seems like a lot of hard work for very little but it's rewarding in its own way. lol

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard about the fun and light hearted CDC blog post about preparing for the zombie apocalypse. It is Zombie Awareness Month (which I totally forgot to blog about after they emailed me that link. Sorry!), after all. Here’s how Kim Carollo of ABC News treats it.

Sigh. Can’t we just have fun now and…

Will Budget Cuts Leave Us Unprepared for Zombie Apocalypse?

If zombies ever start taking over the planet, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says we'd better be prepared for it.

If the undead really start roaming the earth looking for fresh brains to eat, we can't rely on our ability to shoot 'em dead the way people do in video games or in horror flicks. Instead, the agency says, we need to treat it like any other…

"Zombie Apocalypse" campaign crashes website

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A blog post by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that mentions a "zombie apocalypse" as a lighthearted way to get Americans to read about preparing for hurricanes drove so much traffic that it crashed the website, the agency said on Thursday.

The Zombie Apocalypse campaign is a social media effort by the CDC's Public Health and Preparedness center to spread the word about the June 1 start of hurricane season.

The CDC is a U.S. federal…

Stopping IN

It's been awhile since I have been home here on Wicked Zombies...I've been doing so much searching within this outer world of life...

I've since gotten re-married and have been working back in security for the last couple of years. Have started back writing again and have purchased an actual house. It's hard being away from my family even though I need to work and support them, but it's a shame a person has to work so much that they miss their kids growing up...
