I think i'm gonna try to make a eatten brain couch pillow, it will hopefully look like a giatn cookie ( but a brain ) with a corner piece missing... since my sock monkey zombie thing is on hold cause now my sister wants to make one with me

Kitty - My goal is to make a brain that is super durable. haha So I've got to use cotton or fleece. & It doesn't have to be round, it can be flat. I think that I'm just going to cut the shapes out of either of those fabrics and use a quilting batting, flip, then do the stitching on the outside to create the wrinkles. I don't have any pink today, but the green I'm using for the zombie body is so dark, I don't think it matters that I only have a light red color. Zombie brainz don't have to be perfect after all, right? lol

Kasumalley...
What about cutting a brain shape out of a bath sponge or similar.
Or drawing a pattern on a pink, stuffed sock.

Ive been doing it as a business for about 2 years now. I also own a heat press and can do shirts with it .The vinyl is all a self adhesive vinyl film. I started off because i use to help around a sign shop as a teenager and that aided heavily in my decision to take it up.No worries its the only way to learn :)

How long have you been doing the decals and do you do shirts as well? So when you layer the vinyl, how does the end product stick together? Do you have to apply heat? How did you start off doing this out of curiosity? I'm full of questions. :) I'll have to do some reading.

I really want to take a screen printing class when I get more of my basics/basic art classes out of the way. That way I can design my own fabrics. I have an entire list of arts I want to try and it gets expensive.

Yeah sure, I have a roland gx24 plotter/cutter hooked up to my computer and from there its a matter of cutting out both the white and red portions out of vinyl and then layering them together.hope that helps.

Those ipod socks are cute and what a good idea. Those would so easy to make from dollar store socks! You could decorate them with all kinds of stuff too.

I'm working on a zombie doll tonight. It's coming along really well so far. I don't particularly love the fabric but I need to run and get more fleece so it works for now. I'll have to post him when I'm done. I'm trying to make him with brains that come out. lol Gotta figure out the plans to the brain still.

Awesome decals! Want to tell us how you make them? I'm very curious. Screen printing machine? We have a friend who started making his own t-shirts this year and he's, from what I've heard, doing really well with it. Like, surprisingly well!

I love the Dawn of the Dead one. I bet people see that and just think it's so cool.
