Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

any of you who play paintball know the guns can shoot incredibly fast and hard. especially the higher end ones or ones that have been modded. so i was wondering could you shoot a hard projectile out of one and use it to kill a zombie? something like a marble or maybe better yet a ball bearing as they are organized by size which will be very important. i don't think modding the gun will be necessary so long as you have the right size ammunition. to small and the co2 will flow around it making for a week shot. to big and you risk it getting stuck in the barrel causing a catastrophic failure. not as bad as if a live round went off in a real gun but enough to damage the gun and possibly harm the user. but if it does work it will be a great option. its nearly silent when compared to a real gun, can fire just as many rounds per sec as any modern machine gun. probably kill but perhaps at a little closer distance which is fine considering you don't want to waste ammo on targets that are far away and there for pose no threat. theirs no problem with over penetrating when your in the close confines of a building. ammo will be light and I'm sure heir are personal sized options for refilling the co2 cartridges. or you can fill them up at any garage that has welding equipment. and a paintball gun has far less maintenance then a real gun. only thing I'm really questioning is the strength of the barrels to handle shot after shot of heavy loads like ball bearings. so what do you guys think?

i would say 25 to 30 feet like i was with the pellet gun when i was a kid. but if it can do that. then yes, i would say they would be safe enough to take a zombie with. because corrugated sheet fencing is tough stuff. and when they put that fencing up and i shot it. it was brand new fencing. so there is no way weather or age can be ruled as a factor. and i did it three separate times on three separate sheets. what can i say, i was a trigger happy little fucker. lol. but yes, if they can do that and i see for myself. then i will be convinced. and at 25 to 30 feet. lol.

at the very least. a 1/4 inch piece of pressed particle board.

you got a deal

I'm a little late in this conversation, but what I've ready so far, even your most avid hunter will tell you that a sling shot is a good tool for hunting squirrel or rabbits. But killing a Zombie, you would have to be up close and personal. I saw the slingshot deal, showed it to a hunting buddy, he built one and tried to take down a deer with it. Your basic concept in taking down a zombie. He let the deer come 15 feet away and when he hit the damn thing, it ran away looking like a drunk. His buddy shot the same deer. The marble jammer size ball bearing he used only lodged in the deer's head. It had penetrated but stopped when it hit the skull.

He showed me the deer, cause I got some of the meat from it, which I love deer meat. CROCK POT TIME...Deer stew is awesome...Anyways, he told me that unless the ball bearing is being shot from a muzzle loader or something using another for of perpellent, he can't see it working.

He said the video was cool as shit, but as far as hunting or killing anything larger then a rabbit, it will never work.

As for me, I just can't trust a stick and a piece of rubber to save my life in a Z-poc. Hell if it came down to me choosing a slingshot or a crowbar to get me somewhere safe, I'm going with the crowbar.

Now don't get me wrong, slingshots could be used as a way to distract zombies away from you, sending a rock through the air and hitting a car setting off the alarm. Or using it to smash a window on the other side of the street to get zombies away from you, but as for a killing tool for cracking a human skull, I can't see it.  Maybe one hell of a headache or even a slight concusion, but not a kill.

   But that's me.

i might be wrong but i think dear skulls are stronger then human aren't they. and maybe he just needed more rubber or a stronger grade. also was his slingshot built just the same as Jorge's cause thats a factor too. just saying.

thats why if it will punch through the particle board at the very least. i might accept it. but not till then. now when it comes to the sling bow. i have seen where people on private land here in Ohio have used those to drop deer. but we are talking an arrow with a broad head on it to. so that would be like using a bow and arrow or crossbow and not a ball bearing.

yeah sling bows are great.

Just for shits n giggles I'm gonna attach a blow gun to a paintball gun also wanna try making a dart for a paintball gun

tell me how that works out dude.

Do you have a design for you zombie killing invention? Make sure to post pic please!

No design in mind but I don't think it would be too hard to attach the blow gun to the barrel of the gun....and the dart I'm thinking of using the foam from those pool noodles for the flights so they create a seal.

it seemed to me that they made something along the lines of what you are talking about when it comes to the paint gun and arrow thing. i did a bit of looking around and found i was right. it had three times the punch of a paintball gun hence it made them legal to hunt with. i dont however know if they are still in production. they were initially designed for the military but then was decided they did not meet their needs. here are some pictures of it.
