A running thread throughout The Walking Dead comic is the transformation of Rick's son, Carl, from an innocent child to a hardboiled badass. In the scene above, Carl reaches for his gun while Rick argues with Herschel over what to do with zombies. Is his tendency towards violence due to his gruesome surroundings, or has it been lying dormant inside him since birth? The comic does a great job at keeping this question in the back of readers' minds. If the show could adapt this plotline with the same nuance and grace, it would make for truly captivating television.

You know you're in a bad situation when you fondly refer to a prison as "home." That's exactly what happens at the conclusion of Book One of The Walking Dead (issue #12). But the introduction to the prison doesn't have to be a cliffhanger on the show. Why not introduce it midseason, and keep readers of the comic guessing?

Morgan and his son Duane are some of the most likeable characters in The Walking Deaduniverse. Here's hoping they get a chance to appear in season 2. A good storyline to work with would be a comic Robert Kirkman wrote for the 2005 Image Comics Holiday Special. Kirkman's brief but touching holiday tale displays the relentless love of a father and his son, and the endurance of the human spirit.
Oh yeah, and some references to Invincible would be cool, too.

5) Clear Itinerary. CHECK
YUP! i got all i need. well. not everything. my lady is not with me yet. lol. HEY!!! i just thought of something. while in Istanbul, i get to watch The Walking Dead translated in Turkish. SWEET!!! lol.

the LAST place you wanna be is in a Turkish PRISON. lol. all those goodies you mentioned. NADA! ZIP! THE BIG DOUGHNUT!! you are lucky if you get a roll of TP for that certain bowel evacuation. lol. you get the free lawyer alright. ONCE. during the trial. lol. and dont count on the embassy to get you out. they have a firm belief that when in Rome that you are subject to Rome's laws. so when locked up in a foreign prison. you ARE the low man down. literally. lol. so you got LOTS to lose. i think i'll pass. but if you want to. you can come with me. i would have to get a pet carrier for ya. and you will have to be put in the cargo hold with the rest of the luggage. but you can come along. then when we land. you can ask for all that. i'll be video recording so all can see when i post just what happens. lol. still wanna come? lol.

well. it almost happened. Shane damn near bit the big one. sad damned shame that Rick went back for him. the situation was ideal. Shane. trapped in a bus. only a knife to fight with and the reflections of all his shitty stunts to keep him company. then Rick got the soft heart and HAD to save him. BIG FUCKING MISTAKE!!! he should have left that asshole for a "meals on wheels" snack for the stinkers. lol.
