Broken Angels and Fallen Bones (3)

Belial wheeled the canister onto the walkway that floated in the air, underneath them stood seven large vats full of salt water. Pushing the canister down to the first docking, she attached the cables and chains before heading over to the control pannel. As the blue button started to glow under her thumb Vat number 4 started to boil cause the water inside to swirl around and steam. Jerry was lifted out of his canister and moved across the room by what at one time would have been a hi-tech crane, now it was something that looked like it belong in the junk yard helping to crush old cars.

As jerry was lowered deep in to the Vat the boiling ceased, slowly he sank to the bottom then raised up just a few feet. Belial quickly slid down the ladder hand rails and ran over to the Vat. A soft buzzing followed by a flashing yellow light waited for her attention. Flipping the switch and turning some dials, she waited.

"Don't shut down.... you piece of shit. Don't do it"

Staring at the small cracked screen watching as the pinwheel design spun, telling her the program was still running. Then it happened a breaker blew, the lights died and the screen went black.

"SHIT!!"

Sighing heavily Belial paced in a small circle, she knew what she had to do, she just didn't like the only option she had left. As she removed her hoodie, shirt and gloves the room started to be filled with a pulsating blue green glow. The viral lightening bolts that decorated her arms and chest hummed in the darkness placeing both hands on the vat she concentrated.

"Breathe.......Breathe.......Breathe........."

She screamed out as her back arched and her body tightened up, an energy field emerged and traveled along the markings on her arms into the vat. Zig zag lines of blue, green and white darted across the water and flew into jerry's frozen body. As the field left her body Belial flew to her knees and passed out. Struggling to her feet Belial grabbed her clothes and got dressed, climbing back up the ladder and fishing out jerry, she was happy to see it had worked and that he was now alive.
