We're Alive - Zombie Podcast

Anyone out there listening to "We're Alive?"  It's a great zombie apocalypse audio podcast available for free on iTunes. It just completed its third season a few weeks ago.  It's a full cast production complete with special effects and movie score quality music.  

I've been listening to it since mid-way through the first season and was hooked immediately.  Most of the actors are doing the voices are quite good.  (There's a couple that are so-so.)  

The story line is very good and on-par with The Walking Dead.  The scope is even bigger because of it being audio-only they don't have to pay for visual effects.  But the show doesn't sound cheap, either.

The story takes place primarily in and around Los Angeles.  There are several main characters, but the true lead is Michael, and he is a reservest who gets caught up with a group of people when the zombie outbreak happens.  The first season revolves about surviving those first few days and bringing together a core group of survivors.  Then it expands out to include other groups like a group of prisoners who vie for resources.  The zombies start out normal but then they start revealing different types of them -- small fast ones, large behemoth types, and even one seemingly smart one.

The chapters usually run around 60 minutes and consist of three 20 minute episodes.  They're fantastic for longer car trips and we've even listened to them just sitting around with the TV off -- they're that good.
