you know i opened this thread with a twinkle in my eye and full of hope.... then i read that it was gonna be an MTV show now i must destroy you!
well not you but well you know what i mean MTV must be killed for this unholy course of aktion on sukh a great film series... damn them damn them all to hell!!

pshaw I haven't watched MTV since they got rid of Headbangers ball back in the day and no 120 mintues does not count as a good replacement and neither does MTV 2...3 or however many other channels they made lol

Headbangers Ball comes on Mtv2 now, but it's not the same. I never ever watch it.
The Metal Show on VH1classics is 10 to 15 percent entertaining though.

Mtv will ruin it. Simple as that. Every "show" they ever made was terrible. They'll make this into just another show where teens will just whine about everything and attempt to make everything dramatic.

Have you watched anything on MTV lately? The point is that it should be on something that isn't completely f*cking cheesy. What do you think will happen if MTV is the channel that airs it? There will be a rise in zombie genre interest among a young crowd that doesn't study the "unread" as much as you do. Then you will have to educate them, oh God, how horrible.
I for one am not impressed with the entire Romero spectrum. I don't disagree with you on your opinions about the movies being played out. *I think* Scatoma for sure didn't like some of the later movies. I certainly don't think he said everything has been awesome. He's saying that it sucks MTV is doing it. It's a short point. It would be nice if some of the better channels were getting the opportunity to do these things instead...Now I'm just repeating myself.

i, for one have always loved all of Romero's movies. i admit that Diary of the Dead needed some work yet. but i liked it all the same. but i do have to agree when it comes to MTV doing this show. i think SYFY chanel would be the best of all chanels to do this one.

I have a weird way of looking at things like this. I just suck it all up because its there for us. I would rather have the option of watching a wack zombie tv show then to not have it. Besides, its the cornbombs that make the gems shine more brightly. If something blows, watch it once.
I do feel you on the disgust level, though. I just look at it like; more horror for horror hounds. When the remake craze started, I kinda was flippin after seeing the Fog remake(the orig was one of my favs), and you just ask yourself why fuck with something that was great instead of coming up with your own ideas. I just dont see a lot of really good original ideas out there right now. There is a ton of horror shit being churned out and its like, run of the mill shit. I just try to keep the faith.
