YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

As a companion piece to RomeroPilato's Best of the 00's, we all know the 90's sucked so lets skip to the 80's. We got a lot of good ones to pick from. Because of my age, the eighties was like the golden era for me.

Silver Bullet? Corey Haim still had a future at that point huh?
Just fished Night of the creeps out of the 7 dollar bin @ Walmart...yay!!
7 dollars!!!!!!!!!! SSSSSSSSSHHIT!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky Duck!
Poltergeist freaked me out big time. The Shining is pretty wild.

I'll have to think of more too. I used to get pretty freaked out by alien movies and didn't watch much horror. Logan's Run still haunts me. lol My mom used to make me watch it with her all the time. Not an 80s movie but an example of sci-fi flipping me out. A common game with my brother was to run around outside trying to find Sannncctttuuaarrryyyy!
The 80's was most certainly a golden age for horror films. In my opinion, the best decade ever for the genre. So many classics, so many iconic characters were spawned from that era of excess. There are so many 80's fright faves to choose from, too many. Making this list was VERY difficult.

1. George A. Romero's Day of the Dead
2. ALIENS
3. John Carpenter's The Thing
4. The Fly 1986
5. Return of the Living Dead
6. Near Dark
7. Nightmare on Elm St. 3:Dream Warriors
8. Evil Dead II:Dead By Dawn
9. Re-Animator
10. An American Werewolf in London, Zombi 2(tie)
I forgot to add Night of the Creeps on this list. In my eyes, a true classic!
