Lucky the second module was a breeze. I completed it in about an hour and a half...(L)

   But that's usually what happens when you are trying to do something and make sure you don't miss anything...But that's also including all the reading you had to do on the first day. This second module I kind of skipped through was able to still pass the quiz with a 7 out of 10....So I'm rocking this thing....(LOL)

Each week they open a new module for the Walking Dead Class offered by the UC Irvine. I just finished module two. And I have just learned that upon completion of the course, we will now have a choice of receiving either a patch or a certificate because of so many people asking for some form of completion verification. Which is cool as shit. Hopefully it will not be some lame ass patch...

   I will also be including the PDF's in which you will be able to look over from module 2 for those that have not signed up for the class. I encourage you to sign up. They are still taking new class members as we speak. They have had such a turn out that they posted up a small letter of thanks to all class members. 

   The letter states that The Walking Dead TV show and class has now reach 29 different countries and also has been seen in 29 different countries....

   Come sign up and learn something...I know my hillbilly, country fried, red-neck ass has been learning a much of new things...

   According to the grading standards of today, I'm passing this class so far with a strong C...Hell that's better then how I passed high school...(LOL) Hell if high school had classes like this, I might have actually passed with more then a D in all my classes...(LOL)

i wanted to enroll in this. but unfortunately with my hectic time scheduling. i just didnt have the time to do so. and with my move in the planning. it makes it that much more difficult to do. sounds like a load of fun though.

The course isn't really that hard, it mostly consists of watching the videos and reading the notes...Plus 2 you can use your notes that they supply. It's the time management in which I think had me screwed on this last module. But I've never been very good at school anyways...(L) They always have several discussions during each module. I tried to join in, but compared to so many others who respond to the discussions, my answers seemed to be more of a 3rd graders response...(LOL) 

   I blew through the 3rd module in less then 20 minutes. The first module took 4 hours, just because I did everything in the module which took so long in doing. That included the extra reading that they include, but not nescesery. But most of the modules take no more then about an hour if you do everything.  All the quizzes take about 15 minutes in which it's all multiple choice. 

   Module One: In this first lecture, Dr. Christopherson will present Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how it can explain the motivations behind human behavior.

   Module Two: Dr. Bic will define public health and discuss the various agencies around the world focused on ensuring that we all live in healthy, thriving communities

   Module Three:  Dr. Christopherson provides an overview of how to study various models of society and the philosophies of Aristotle, Thomas Hobbes, and Adam Smith, Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, and Max Weber.

   Hope this helps...And the email that I got today says the badges for those finishing each one of the course modules have arrived...These will be placed on your profile for the Canvas profile... Plus two, they will be giving out certificates of those who finish the course...So you, I and all the others here that are taking the course will have something to show for their efforts....  :)  So you're not to far behind...

Been taking every class...The module notes for module 3 are below...I failed majorly on module 3. The 6 different theories on the structure of society or how society should function had me all screwed up. Check out the module notes below...

   They used and twisted many aspects of The Walking Dead to fit what they wanted to teach. So far I have counted 110 misquotes and 75 totally misused situations within the course that has me really not caring if I pass or not...

   I'm becoming more and more disappointed in the lectures and even the subjects in which they are supposed to be based from The Walking Dead...I have only a few more weeks before the class is over with and even though I have become totally discourage with it, I'll finish it...

   I'm not sure what they are trying to do. Take for example, they believe that a mathematical model will tell and predict how a zombie virus will spread. But, the fact is, that if the course is based off of The Walking Dead universe, their theory of the model doesn't work, because everyone is infected with the zombie virus or disease. I don't think they are watching the same show that I am. They have messed up so many facts within The Walking Dead and have twisted so much around to fit there over-educated bullshit that I'm tired of the class...I was so excited that maybe I was going to be able to shine a little, but all I feel is like some little turd that is trying not to be flushed down the damn toilet. 

   I thought preachers twisted and used the Bible to their own purpose and here we see the same damn thing being done with one of the few joys that I have within the TV world...And listening to these people believing that the World Health Organization and the American Health Department agencies will stop all zombie outbreaks...Got you damn question for you professors, WHERE the HELL was the CDC, the WHO and the AHD agencies during the Miami attack, the attack in Japan or China and the other attacks?? I tell you where, trying to pull off some fucking lame ass excuse to cover up the so-called zombie attack.

   But if you are taking the class and feel the same way, don't worry about it...You are not alone...But if you seem to be enjoying the class that the professors try to act like they watch and twist the shit within the show to fit their bullshit, more power to you...I guess I've just been out of school way to damn long...Either that, or I'm finding more wrong with their educated book learning bullshit because I have been out of school for so long and can see through most of their bullshit...

   Anyways, I'm sorry for rant and hope those who are enjoying the class will continue to enjoy it...Those who feel like I do, that the class has totally lost touch with the show itself, join the crowd cause you aren't alone....

wow. after reading this. i am glad i didnt get time for the course. thanks for the heads up on this because i was gonna monitor it and see if they run it again. now i know not to waste my time. lol
