Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

any of you who play paintball know the guns can shoot incredibly fast and hard. especially the higher end ones or ones that have been modded. so i was wondering could you shoot a hard projectile out of one and use it to kill a zombie? something like a marble or maybe better yet a ball bearing as they are organized by size which will be very important. i don't think modding the gun will be necessary so long as you have the right size ammunition. to small and the co2 will flow around it making for a week shot. to big and you risk it getting stuck in the barrel causing a catastrophic failure. not as bad as if a live round went off in a real gun but enough to damage the gun and possibly harm the user. but if it does work it will be a great option. its nearly silent when compared to a real gun, can fire just as many rounds per sec as any modern machine gun. probably kill but perhaps at a little closer distance which is fine considering you don't want to waste ammo on targets that are far away and there for pose no threat. theirs no problem with over penetrating when your in the close confines of a building. ammo will be light and I'm sure heir are personal sized options for refilling the co2 cartridges. or you can fill them up at any garage that has welding equipment. and a paintball gun has far less maintenance then a real gun. only thing I'm really questioning is the strength of the barrels to handle shot after shot of heavy loads like ball bearings. so what do you guys think?

i doubt it projectiles to light.

those could do it if they hit the eye because the orbital bone (the bone that forms the eye socket) is no thicker then a piece of construction paper. so a good solid hit from a 22 caliber pellet gun could do it i would say. but when it comes to the thicker part of the bone. it would be a crap shoot. i would venture to say that if you were a certain distance. like 50 feet. then i might throw out a yes. but at 50 feet you could hit them in the eyeball and guarantee a kill then.

thats a hard shot to make on a moving target even if it is just shambling.

not really. its just a matter of timing the shot. most people who use this type of rifle tend to know about when to pull the trigger and when not to. and being the competition grade air rifles are design to shoot distances of up to 100 yards. they would make a low cost sniper weapon by a trained hand or at least a hand that practices a lot. my first air rifle was a Sheridan pellet gun. it used a 20 caliber pellet. after 8 pumps of air pressure. it shot through a steel fence plate.

they joined forces with the Benjamin company so now they are called the Benjamin Sheridan pellet gun. and now they make them in three calibers which are .177, 20, and 22 calibers. the minimal price i have seen them at was $260.

YOU LIKE MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS DON'T YOU AND NOT THE DO IT YOUR SELF. THAT'S why you shot down the sling shot and  paintball gun idea isn't it.

That sux I seen a video of a guy takin down a wild pig with one so I got gitty lol

a wild pig has a thinner skull then a human though. so at best it could make a good hunting tool like a slingshot does for small game. but like i said though. if you use a 22 caliber one. it could happen.

Just lookin for an alt because real 22 ammo is hard to come by and I can't legally have any one so mine is put up til tshtf which sux cause I can't practice which would make a pellet rifle prime to practice with maybe I'll try getting the best I can find and test it...what should I test it on to simulate a skull?

the best thing would be a pigs head or skull like i did, the least would be a coconut wrapped in foam. hope this help and if the pellet gun can real open the skull then I'll get one myself.

Oh I have collected 500 rounds so far band being new to the gun game a bought 200 of some I can't use but I figure hey theybr small and maybe afterwards I'll come across some one who could use them or find a gun on my journeys lol

Saint. its not that i dont like "do it yourself" stuff. i like to to things myself as much as the next guy. but if i am gonna do something like put my life on something. i want to know it more then works. and as far as shooting down the paintball guns and slingshots go. bro. i am going by what i know and what i see. i like paintball guns and i like slingshots. but as far as putting my life on them. slingshots for hunting small game? maybe. paintball guns? never. paintball guns make good war games play. even good fun and shits 'n giggles fun. but i would never think of putting my life on them. the only reason i mentioned the Sheridan gun as far as pellet guns go and a potential zombie killer goes is because of me knocking a hole in this type of sheet steel shown below.

if a Sheridan pellet gun can knock a hole on corrugated sheet steel like this. it can definitely kill a zombie. lol. now to restate what i said on the slingshot and killing a zombie. if the guy who makes those slingshots can stand back like he did with that ball bearing trap. knock a hole in one of those ZGB heads like he did that ball bearing trap. then i will reconsider my answer there. but unless i see for myself a paintball gun knock a hole in a ZGB head or a pig head. there will be no way in gods green creation i will ever feel safe putting my life in the making of a paintball gun. lol

so what your also saying is if i can put a whole through that sheet steel stuff with either a slingshot or a paintball gun from 15 feet away you'll acknowledge them as possible weapons?
