which path do you practice gavyn?
i was into wicca years back...along with other types of spirituality.
it never felt...right to me. not something i could see myself doing years down the line.
i find it hard to fit christianity into my personality...never felt god was the ass hole they made him out to be.
now i'm not saying anything against anyones' religion, hell, i'm happy y'all have something to hold on to.
i just have not found that yet.
atheist i am not. it would take a damn fool to look at the universe and say we are the top shit around here.
i just don't put a name on "GOD"

I did a search and this may help a little.
One of the basic tenets is that the Soul (the true self) can leave the body in full consciousness and travel freely into other planes of reality. Eckankar emphasizes personal spiritual experiences as the most natural way back to God. These are attained via "Soul Travel", shifting the awareness from the body to the inner planes of existence.
Maybe this will help you understand a little better. I found this after searching for Enkiste on goggle.

Also, what you found seems to use astral projection as a spiritual tool, but enkistes use it as a toy, and for magic.
We focus more on summoning and channeling, with the goal of Godhead. We keep the aura clean and befriend the Gods.
