Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Saddly there will be a time when during the Zombiocolypse that we will run out of ammo, and must fully rely on our bladed and blunt weapons.  Proper care for these items should be as important os others things i believe, like alcohol to wipe the blades down and get any remaining blood spatter or brain matter off, after all the infection is transmitted by bodily fluids. We should also keep in mind that this process should be highly monitored as well.

If the infected blood gets in your eyes or mouth, that could lead to infection so its important to cover the eyes using either ballistc goggles or sport goggles. I'd imagine any would work fine. Covering the mouth would be necessary as well, so a multi wrap or shemagh to cover the lower face could easily be found on the OpsGear website. Hell, even a bandana would work, though I wouldn't recommend it due to how small of an area it covers.

As for weapon care, frequent sharpening is a must. A whet stone or commercial hand sharpener would suffice. Cutting through bone again and again could be hell on a blade. When washing with alcohol or water, be sure to wipe it completely dry to avoid rust.
i agree here on the whole splatter thing. protecting the eyes, nose and mouth is a major must. another thing i might recomend for face protection is a neoprean mask. they are wwater resistant and repel water. so they would be great for blood and brain splatter protection to.

another thing i would recomand would be getting things like blunt force trauma weapons like baseball bats and things of the sort to save on blade use. Cold Steel puts out an awsome line of shatter proof weapons like baseball bats and war clubs. below are some nice examples.

all these are made of the same materials that the modern police batons are made of so they will not break, crack or splinter on impact. and unlike wood. will not warp or dry rot.
Yeah, I've wanted the Brooklyn Smasher for a while now. But they won't ship it to Jersey which sucks.
i can get hold of these through contracts i have with ColdSteel.

let me look up the costs. the difference between the two is one is the size of a standard baseball bat. the other is the size of a softball bat. a softball bat to me is rather cumbersome and bulky. not a good choice. i would go with the smasher myself.
i am a big fan of the WAR CLUBS myself. here are a couple of good videos that show why.

can we say SPLATT!!! lol.
i'm on it.
the suggested retail price for the brooklyn smasher is $44.50. i can do a better price. my price including S&H charges is $35.00 even.
The Cold Steel factory is close to me. My uncle sold me some knives many years ago. I still have 2 katana style blades that go for 350+ bucks, that I got for only 40 bucks each! LOL
After finding how much they cost I was thinking of slangin em on ebay! LOL!!
Bleach pour it on and and rub the whole weapon down with it including the handle and such
