Which is the better movie Romero's Dawn or Day of the Dead?
Day of the Dead is a relentlessly unsettling and intensely dramatic portrait of what happens when the fragile structure of civility and common decency is torn asunder. A truly compelling study of humanity being at it's most inhumane during times when goodwill and unity are desperately needed. Bolstered with unforgettably shocking fx by Savini, an amazing cast and pitch-perfect direction by Romero, Day of the Dead is a classic that will continue to stand the test of time.

I saw Day before Dawn and it was all over after I saw Dawn of the Dead! It's been my favorite movie for the past 20 years! I do think Days FX are superior to Dawn.

Honestly I gotta say Day Of The Dead. It was creepier, gorier, and dramatic. I like Dawn yet it had it's share of some funny moments that may or may not work in a horror flick depending on the situation. Not that I'm taking anything away from it. Just my preference.

i remember watching day of the dead at the movie theater and realized i was the only one in the theater ..I was blown away NOTLD and Dawn you seen and wondered where is the president and government is doing and Day pretty much shows there is no hope at all .If i had to chose i would say Day of the Dead.

i understand your opinion cptn skunkx. but you didnt even leave it in long enough for a fair and honest judgment. your going by just 20 or so minutes of watching the movie. nobody can judge anything fair that way. but it is your opinion, yes. and you are entitled that, yes. but in my opinion. you need to at least see it all the way to give it a fair review. 20 or so minutes is just not a far review time. thats what you give cartoons. not a zombie icon director and one of his classics. i will be the first to admit i am bias because i idolize the man, George A. Romero and view all his work as an awsome hit. but like you said. its just my opinion. by the way. i would LOVE to know where they got those gasmasks in Dawn of the Dead. those things look just awsome! lol.
