YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Day 136

1345 hrs

Our reconnaissance patrols have noticed more and more refugees are walking down the rural roads in groups, looking like a wild herd of game in Africa, the term safety in numbers never applied more than now. A lone military Humvee with a .50 cal M2 in the turret, fired a good 30 - 40 rounds with a 5/1 mix of tracer rounds as it sped through the abandon cars while going down the road. Refugees hit the ground as the 700 gr tracers were hitting a ridge line about 200 yards from the road, at what we're not sure? could be a group of infected or maybe just testing the weapon. To far away to tell if it was an Air Force or Army Humvee, ACU's and ABU's look the same at 100 yards.

The patrol killed one infected that attacked them while coming back to base camp with a single shot from the HK MP5SD. They also noticied several small groups of civilians trying to go cross country into areas that we had problems with the infected the days before. They seemed to have civilian type hunting rifles and shotguns and I'm sure later tonight we'll hear lots of gunshots and alot of screams, just like all others who venture off the rural roads at night into no mans land, or rather no living man's land
