YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
Hey guys this was written by one of my writers on my site... His name is John Parish and he wrote it for the site after the conversation we all had about handling blood shed... Its really good... You guys let us know what you think!
World No matter how careful you are, no matter where you choose to make your stand, what weapons you gather, or how well you plan, accidents are going to happen. They happen in normal everyday life, and will happen in the new world. People around you and people close to you are going to get injured. Family members, loved ones and friends. First of all you need to forget about that family and loved ones stuff. You can not afford, for their sake and yours to think of injured people as a person. They are a job to do, like collecting rainwater or guard duty. A job that has to be done, like waste removal, no matter how unpleasant it may seem to you.
Many people are afraid of the sight of blood. Don’t think of it as blood, it’s just a body fluid, the same as saliva or urine. Unless the injury is beyond repair, even the bleeding will stop after a few minutes of direct pressure to the wound. You are not repairing an injury, or doing surgery, you are doing a simple procedure. And it is simple, as long as you remain calm. Once the bleeding has stopped, look at the task in front of you. Is it dirty, full of debris? Wash the entire area until it looks clean. Don’t have clean water handy? Then use urine, if you have no health problems, and its fresh, urine is clean and sterile. Now, is the site a gaping wound? Then you may have to sew it together, and again this is as easy as sewing a torn shirt, just think of it that way.

After it is sewn back together, just wrap it up, much like you would a Christmas present, not to tight, not too loose, and keep it dry. The main point to dealing with any wound is that you can do it. You just need to put out of your mind that somebody is hurt, and see it as a job to get done, quickly and competently. If you can put down a friend who is infected, than you can help a friend, just don’t think of them as friends.
