existential riddle
She looks so skeletal,
lying on rice grain canvas.
Where saints choose their tombs,
where peanuts & dust make love,
and dirty nail clippings can decapitate.
But you can't stop what's coming,
that ghost isn't holy anymore.
Only the pussy green brown hole in her throat
A shadow over her blade thin mid drift.
The cure in a vault,
underneath a vent,
in between the pink insulation.
The itch is enough to keep anyone out.
Theology means nothing here.
Heretics and evangelists can play nice.
Never thought of this place, never thought of
This transparent existential riddle.
And a size 13 soul
descends from the heavens,
ends it all, Splat.
Goodbye.
