thanks love. those words mean a great deal to me. mom and dad always loved you. they called you the daughter they wish they had. they would always ask about you when i logged on. they never failed to ask about you. especially dad.

Oh no! I'm sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel, having lost my Mom on January 10th. It is a horrible and lonely time. I hope you have family and friends to share your grief. I know it helped me to share memories of all the good times. Nothing I can say will really help. But I want you to know that I am sharing your pain right now. Let me share a poem that was written my great-great-uncle during the Civil War. I read at my Mother's funeral last week. It was never published, but it should be, as it combines beauty, pain, loss and hope...

WOULD I WERE WITH THEE

Would I were with thee, every day and hour

Which now passes so sadly, far from thee.

Would that my form posses’d the magic power

To follow where my heavy heart would be!

Whatever thy lot, o’er land or sea –

Would I were with thee eternally!

Would I were with thee, when, the world forgetting,

Thy weary limbs upon the turf are thrown –

While bright and red, our evening sun is setting

And all thy thoughts belong to heaven alone:

While happy dreams thy thoughts employ –

Would I were with thee in thy joy!

Would I were with thee, when no longer faining

The hurried laugh that stifles back a sigh!

When thy young lips put forth its sweet complaining

And tears have quench’d the light within thine eye:

When all seems dark and sad below –

Would I were with thee in thy woe!

Would I were with thee when the day is breaking,

And when the moon has lit the lovely sea –

Or when in crowds some careless note awaking,

Speaks to thy heart in memory of me.

In joy or pain, by sea or shore –

Would I were with thee evermore.

this is a beautiful poem brother. my mother will wake in the next hour. when she does. i promise i will read it to her.

Please extend my condolences to her too. I really do know what you are going through. She is lucky to have you with her, as you are lucky to have her too.

When you are feeling better, please visit/join Z-Day HQ where we are making plans for those zombie flash mobs. I noticed mention of Springfield in this thread. If it is the one in MS, there is already a plan in the works. Either way, you may find a distraction helps to ease the pain. I know I do. Seriously, we are in the same boat brother.

i live in Springfield Ohio. i will be more then happy to extend my condolences to her for you. and i just may check out Z-Day HQ. i really could use the distraction at this point. thanks again brother.

God Bless You and Yours.
