Once Bitten, Twice Shy: How Have Vampires Become the New Pink?

Seriously. I've loved vampires back when it was weird to dress up as one other than Halloween. Also, all those 'goth' kids who think that cutting equates to cool. How has this happened? It's not right to see some cheerleader with a pair of fake fangs from Hot Topic!Nor is it right to see my friend, a jock, suddenly don skinny jeans and an emo 'do. Is angst the 'In' thing now or whatever? What's not sacred anymore from the hands of preppies? Are zombies next???

i pray to all that is holy that zombies are not next. i never viewed vampires as scary anyway but i have seen what you are saying and when i see them. i have to laugh at it.
