YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
the future of my blog series...
for those of you that have been spared my relentlessly aggressive posts and comments, my blog (as well as my username for the site) is a first person recounting of events that take place in my novel Blue Skies Burning (open chapters here).
i initiated this approach as a means to perhaps get some interest and feedback while presenting the story from a personal perspective. i've really enjoyed retelling it in a new way and i hope the members here have as well.
but i feel like i'm reaching a crossroads and would like to hear everyone's thoughts on where to go from here. i could continue Case's transmissions in sync with the book, or perhaps continue with events that do not appear in the main storyline. additionally, i could offer the personal accounts of several other characters in the same fashion. and while i would like to pursue all of these options, the novel (currently my primary focus) is just one part of much larger project expanding into several other mediums. so i have to choose carefully how to progress and in what direction to proceed.
i'll go ahead and point out that the novel is being broken up into individual books. The complete story is rather massive in its progression from start to finish. and i think not giving each moment enough room to explore all that i've been exploring will make the whole severely less compelling. i'm focusing on completing Book 1 in the next couple months. and journal will continue as well, it's just in what it will evolve depends on your input.
i'm asking for your advice because it's horror fans like you that i want to enthrall. one of the reasons i started this project was to bring something new to horror, something horror fans can feast on, something that makes us remember what's like to be afraid. and i'm slowing building towards that goal. i'm proud of what i have done so far and i can't wait to unleash it on the world. and i want it to be something hardcore aficionados can be proud of experiencing.
so, where should we take this freakshow next?

going by parts 1,2, and 3. i feel your on a really good track here. follow it to its fullest conclusion. even if its in several installments. there are some stories out there that have gotten up to 6 book installments. so go with it and make it a good run. this would make a great mini series as well.

hell, you should go back to the beginning of my blog and start from there. there's much better to read about in those segments, imo. the full story has been outlined with all the kinks worked through, i've just spent the last year and a half filling in the slots on the outline, heh.
i'm really glad to you have enjoyed what you've read so far. i hope you'll continue to follow my updates and let me know what you think.
yeah, the book is now a series, lol. there'll be an estimated 3 to 4 full length novels. and there'll most likely be a graphic novel or 3, heh. among other related projects...:)
