zombie poem
I am Jake’s machete!
I am the savior of Jake’s life.
He keeps my blade sharp, and I keep him alive.
I give him my power and he gives me his.
At his command my cold steel edge sinks into the flesh of the dead that would do him harm.
I am Jake’s machete!
I am the savior of Jake’s life.
Jake wipes the blood from my length.
I dispatch the heads of his enemies.
I keep Jake alive, and he gives me life.
With out Jake I am useless.
With out me Jake is useless.
I have failed Jake.
Jake drives my edge into the arm I allowed to be bit until it is gone.
I am Jake’s machete!
I am no longer the savior of Jake’s life.
Jake dies, and goes off wondering.
I lay forgotten in leaves, Jake’s blood drying along my length.
I am Jake’s machete.
I am nothing!
