I have read that there is no real difference between the standard Mosin-Nagant and the sniper one save that it was the 7000th out of each bach and that knowing that they may have taken a little more care in it's making. Having said that any Mosin-Nagant with a good scope is capabul of hiting targits the size of a hubcap out to 900 yards and being between the 308 and the 30.06 in power is quite powerful.

LOL. Yes WOW. it is almost as long as I am tall and it kicks! It is the same type rifle used by Vasily Zaytsev Soviet sniper during World War II, notable particularly for his activities between November 10 and December 17, 1942 during the Battle of Stalingrad. He killed 225 soldiers and officers. Prior to November 10, he had already killed 32 Axis soldiers with the standard-issue Mosin-Nagant rifle. Between October 1942 and January 1943, Zaytsev had made 242 verified kills. He and Carlos Hathcock (USMC) are the 2 most noticeable snipers in world history.
