That's a valid point - an apocalypse fresh zombie could be disconcerting to the young and inexperienced. Practice makes perfect!

I think caging them takes away some of their fight - you really want them feisty and flesh hungry for the apocalypse.
There can't be as much satisfaction in killing a tame zombie, can there?
