diary of an ax murderer pt. 4 (postmortem)

Eli heard a heavy clatter directly behind him. He turned to see an ax vibrating on the ground behind him. He bent over to pick it up. He looked over it carefully, holding it with both hands. Then he heard a loud 'Mrh?' to the north, a began lurching towards it.

Eli lurched forward steadily, ax in hand. He felt it was important for some reason. Eventually, he saw a small group of zombies. He joined them.

In the group, Eli noticed a zombie gesturing wildly to a wall. There was a message on it, drawn almost completely in symbols. It was apparently aimed at zombies. It read STAND HERE TO- Eli felt a prick in his neck. He fell to his knees, then his stomach, unable to move. There were humans around, surrounding him and the other zombies. He felt something go under the skin near his bullet hole several times, and had his old flak jacket exchanged for a new one. Then he went numb. The last thing that ran through his zombie mind was, 'Eli....... dead again?'
