Almost died today...
Ok, so today I was at school, in biochem, and I had an asthma attack. I had the flu for a few days now, so I guess that triggered it. But after walking across from med school to the ER, I had to sit for a while, so I had time to think. About where a zombification outbreak may initiate. Swear, I was TOTALLY aware of the other sick people sitting around me (I'm a bit of a hypochondriac) and eventually, after feeling as though I had caught TB or H1N1 or something, I couldn't help but thinking: sick people obviously go to the hospital after getting a few symptoms of disease, so any hospital on a daily basis would have an abundance of all sorts of infectious viruses/bacteria. And if that one individual who just happens to have the zombie toxin, or virus, or ZAIDS as I called it before, decided to visit their nearest health facility, that could be the start of the spread of zombification. And on top of that, many people warded at the hospital are immobile, so they cant even get up and evacuate if the ZAIDS begins to spread the the air/water/etc.
Damn, I pass through a hospital every morning and afternoon...

ZAIDS lol, thats funny. Im glad you're ok, that had to be a little scary. But yea, hospitals will most likely be ground zero for the z-poc outbreak, you're right on the money!

lolz hospitals really do weird me out. and the airport thing is pretty feasible as well. especially for countries that have high numbers of foreigners per year for "health tourism". like japan and korea. and imagine, i plan to go live in japan for a while.....

i have ALWAYS felt the hospitals were gonna be GROUND ZERO. i just wonder what part of the country though. one would think places like New York or Tallahassee Florida or some place like that. i think though it will start in a place like China. then spread world wide. and another reason i think it would hit cities like i mentioned before is because of the next great GROUND ZERO. International Airports. i know a bit about these places myself because of so extensive travel to Istanbul Turkey. they are loaded with people from all over the world. some healthy. some NOT so healthy. so when it comes to global transmission. airports will be the main key. lol. hey Cher. you think sitting in a hospital is bad enough. try being admitted for any length of time. before they built the new hospital here in town. i had to check into the old one for yearly tests and tests every 6 months. now the yearly was for sleep apnea. the one every 6 months is for heart testing (bum ticker. lol). normally a stay at the hospital is no biggie right? WRONG!!! reason being the damned HEART WING was right above the damned MORGUE! now they actually EXPECT a person to rest peacefully knowing this. but we who know about and are preparing for a zombie apocalypse know to do better. lol. i had to stay there for three days each time and for all three days i didnt sleep a fucking wink! and the idea of being in a hospital during a z-poc in this new hospital is no better. my floor i got to go to may be away from the morgue. but its on the tenth floor! so that means levels one (the ground floor) through nine (the one below me) is something i will have to fight like hell to get out of just to get to a parking lot that could be full of undead. so even though it is a better hospital construction wise. i just went from the frying pan and plopped straight into the fire. lol. smell that cooking? yes in deed, thats me cooking. deep fried Rhino. lol.
