Bub the Zombie Blog

I made a blog for Bub the Zombie, but so far all I have is two entries. If Bub the Zombie were to have thoughts he wanted to relay on his blog I don't know what they would be. I can only assume after Day of the Dead he eventually found his way out of the bunker and wandered America meeting other interesting zombies. I wonder if it would make a…

Mermaid Zombies

Well, not exactly. My creative partner Jenny has done a series of mermaid illustrations that challenge the traditional image of a mermaid. They are all based on species of fish indigenous to bodies of water here in the Midwest. …

By The End of the Week I Will Be Part Zombie

I am scheduled for heart surgery Wednesday morning. At that time I will have my aortic valve repaired, and a section of my aorta replaced with either a pig, cow, or synthetic section of blood vessel. In short, i will become either part undead, or part cybernetic. My preference is for the cow tissue, but the surgeon says he won't know what is most appropriate until he sees what my heart looks like. …

New Zombie and Horror Movie Stuff

Every year my friend Travis Legge does a short zombie movie here in Rockford, Illinois, and every year he invites me to show up and be a zombie extra. I have only taken him up on it once, but I had a blast (leading to the subsequent no drinking policy on his sets). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1754258/ This year's short id titled Lil Bub. I think I'll…

Non Zombie Rhinoceroses

Everyone knows I love zombies, and I've posted here about zombie MMA fighters, zombies movies, zombie books, all aspects of zombie culture. This blog is about my first children's book, The Toughskin Rhinoceros Wrangler Company. No, there are no zombies in it. Not that I know of. I hope you'll allow me this one indulgence to take a look if you have children 2-9. It's mostly about missing your friends and dancing. …

Top Ten Zombie Movies That Aren't Technically Zombie Movies

Not all zombie movies are created equal. Aside from the distinction between zombies and the walking dead, some zombie movies aren't even zombie movies at all, and sometimes zombies show up when you least expect them. I have compiled a list o ten such movies that I contend aren't even zombie movies at all. Here's number one...…

Zombie Lake Review

I'm doing some short reviews at my blog. They're not really reviews, because if I don't like something I won't waste my time talking about it. But I do like a lot of crappy movies, so I don't feel right calling them reviews. How can you justify knowing something is a piece of crap but still recommending other people watch it? This review is about Zombie Lake. …

What Is The Meaning Of Zombie Movies

What is the moral of zombie movies? is there one? Will most future zombie movies be shootem up versions of video games without much message or meaning? What is the future of zombie movies? Do you even like a meaning or a moral or do you just like to see zombies get blasted to shit?

The Meaning of Zombie…

Thomas L. Vaultonburg For Winnebago County Coroner 2012

As America's first Zombie (Z) Party candidate, I have run for Winnebago County Coroner twice, in 2004, and again in 2008. I'd like to announce here at Wicked Zombies that I will once again run for the Winnebago County Coroner's job in 2012 as a Zombie Party (Z) candidate.…

Analysis of the Opening Sequence of the Screenplay for Romero's Dawn of the Dead

This may be a little boring for a lot of people, but I want you to read the opening sequence of George Romero's script for Dawn of the Dead. For a couple of reasons. One is that Romero breaks all the rules of script writing in that he writes the scenes out the way he wants to shoot them. If you gave that type of script to a primadonna director they'd fly into a rage. …

The Top Five Zombie Movie Posters of All Time

Why is that sometimes the best movies have the worst movie posters and vice versa? What are the best zombie movie posters of all time, or the worst for that matter? I list my five favorites, the one I think is the most lazy and boring of all time, here at my blog... The Top…

Single Zombie Female, Bub the Zombie, and Haikus

Single Zombie Female is the webcomic I created with artist Jenny Mathews. Working with an artist who can draw the human form in any level of decomposition is a blast. I hope you'll go to my blog and check out the other episodes. Also, I'm going to try to lure you to my blog by tempting you with a Zombie…

Dead Drunk Screenplay

What does the term pre-production mean?

In almost every case I can think of it means never going to happen.

In the case of my movie, Dead Drunk, it sort of means something like I'll get there when I get there. In the past two years I've had three regional production companies ask for rights to the…

Help a Zombie Out

I remember when I first became obsessed with zombie movies around 1985. Roughly when Day of the Dead came out. Good luck finding zombie movies in the video store. The most any video store would have might be five, so you went to every video store in town looking for different ones. And if you couldn't find them the only other option was Facets in Chicago, but they charged huge prices.

When I designed my first website for… Continue
