Zombies and the Living converge upon Pleasure Island, June 9 and 10, 2012 in Port Arthur Texas to celebrate and pay tribute to the 80th Anniversary of the first full-length Zombie film released in the United States, "White Zombie."

Two full days of entertainment, activities, contests and vendors will delight festival attendees from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, California and Georgia. Event Features include:

The Zombie Survival Run and Tag is more than what most zombie festival fans might be accustomed to.

It is a fierce course of surprises where being the fastest runner may not be good enough to take home the cash and prizes!

Agility and survival skills may very well determine who will cross the finish line!


The Battle of the Bands is certain to be a crowd motivator as each band competes to take home the $10,000 Grand Prize. Attendees of the two-day festival will participate to determine the best band.


To many, the Hot Zombie Male and Female Model Competition may seem to sound like an oxymoron. But we promise you will be surprised! Top male and female winners take home the cash and prizes to prove there are beautiful zombies out there waiting to devour you.


The "Thriller" After Dark Dance Party is an open air street dance, other than the fact it takes place on several acres of Pleasure Island. Can you dance the Thriller zombie dance? If not, follow the others, we are certain you will pick it up rapidly.


What would a festival be without the aroma of fresh-cooked delectable delights and liquid concoctions to whet the palate? There is nothing like going to a festival and taking home trinkets from the merchandise vendors either.
