Anyone seen anything good lately? I got pretty far into Stargate Universe. I do like it. I have some complaints but in general, it's alright. It's sort of slow at this point. I'm sure it will pick up though.

I still haven't watched Falling Skies. I've seen mixed reviews. Anyone have any thoughts on this series?

I have a few things on my Netflix list I'm interested in that are older. Night of the Comet is one of them. The synopsis says: Earth has been ripped to shreds after a run-in with a killer comet, and those who have survived are in a fight for their lives in this campy cult classic. Valley girl Reg (Catherine Mary Stewart) and her sister (Kelli Maroney) discover they're two of the lucky few. But scientists are after them, and now they must run. Why? Because the researchers believe they need the blood of survivors to concoct a drug that can save them all from further ruin.

I love the idea of a sci-fi Valley girl movie. lol

Lifeforce with Patrick Stewart (yes yes I'm the Captain's girl) is another on my list.

I caught half of A Boy and his Dog, which I knew nothing about. It took a bit to figure out what was happening, but I enjoyed it in the end. It was rather funny.

And lastly, we had it on this movie, and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called but it was Japanese. It was about these kids and maybe magic people who flew on giant, gorgeous moths. I need to know what it was because it really looked cool.

And for the kiddies, Ponyo is actually tolerable for parents. My 3 year old loves it and strictly for the artistic beauty. We love all those films though. Totoro is a fave of mine!

I'm thinking of starting my own geeky girl blog to review movies, more in depth. Anyone do that?

I am watching a 3 part series on Netflix called "Tinman". It's a modern day Wizard of OZ tale with Zooey Deschanel. I really like her, in everything but The Happening where I thought she stunk up the entire movie, so I'm going to finish it. I'm not sure if it was canceled or if it's just short. It's okay though.

I meant to type that it's a movie set in the future. *I think.* They're on the bottom of the ocean mining when they come across some problems. Chaos ensues.

I watched this with Scat for the first time today. It was pretty good. Something to do. The entire movie is on Youtube though and you can watch it all from right here. :)

We are going to start Star Gate: Universe after we finished Firefly. We watched 2001: A Space Odyssey today. Good stuff. Anyone else watch ST: Universe?

Well, lmao, if you want to freak your preteens out, let 'em watch Skyline. My little sister and my stepdaughter are stuck to eachother on the couch freakin' out at all the alien madness. It is too funny to watch them. ;)
