another good defense for a home is these. hurricane shutters. they can be lowered when the outbreak happens. locked down for added security. and will take a hell of a beating. they are constructed of space age aluminum and can take an impact from an object thrown by a gale force wind. they are great for a 2 level home but also good for a single level also. even though we dont get hurricanes here in ohio, local businesses use them for added security and they are never broke into. i intend to invest in some to make my place a good safe house.

these work also on doors to. a business here in town went so far as to use them for more then just windows. since then, he has never been broke into since. when it comes to these beauties, they come in manual crank and electric motor. i would want manual crank so i could get out even with the power gone.

My parents have these down here in FL. They even have one for the sliding glass doors in the back. This would be the initial meeting spot for our families to hold out till we move to Cobra HQ (see rally points and safe house discussion for more info on that) These things will easily stop Z's from pounding their way in. Dad has some weapons and ammo as well so thats a bonus!
