unfortunately, it may have already started -- click here for reports from Florida from major news source msnbc!
i agree that when the time comes, currency will be useless to mankind. however for the time being, use it to better your position of survival by getting those things you will need. weapons, ammo, food, water, clothing, things like this.
your on the right track. lol. "have AK, will travel." lol.
Saddly i kan see some people still kling on to the ideal of money when the outbreak first starts. Little do they realize that it will be the things we have kome akkustomed to taking for granted that will be more valuable. a roll of toilet paper, a simple kan opener, a dekk of Wicked Zombie Playing Kards.

For now I myself have started to "horde" and "hide" run of the mill items that many normally over look in the knowledge that one day this rubix kube or spool of soldering iron will be worth more when me and my Komradz use it to further our goals then the $200 in my wallet
i hear what you say here brother. i have read where people say i will stock up on this, that and the other. but you never hear them say anything about toilet paper, extra screws, can openers, and things of the like. things that can mean a working gun or a really ugly club. thats why i bought extra things like this to keep my weapons going. i would rather have a working weapon then nothing at all. and a can opener could mean a lot of differance between a meal or starving to death.
What does kanning do?

Kanning is an important, safe method for preserving food if practiced properly. The Kanning process involves placing foods in jars or similar Kontainers and heating them to a temperature that destroys micro-organisms that Kause food to spoil. During this heating process air is driven out of the jar and as it Kools a vacuum seal is formed. This vacuum seal prevents air from getting back into the product bringing with it Kontaminating micro-organisms.

You can use dried meats and fruit to barter.
you can also use these antlers for other things like buttons for your clothing and packs. handels for your knives and grips for certain hand guns. they can even be shaped into eating utensils like spoons and forks. the hides can be tanned into clothing and coats. the chemical needed for the tanning process called "tannic acid" can be found in simple drinks like coffee and teas. the racks to stretch the hides on can be made as needed depending on the size of the animal.
