Writers, Artists and an Idea
I was sitting here at work today and I got an idea. We have a lot of talented people here. From writers to artists and beyond. And though we all share our talents with each other, why not get together for one major project.
I was thinking, we can put together a book of short stories and illustrations that all members of WICKEDZOMBIES.COM submit. We can find out how to publish it and all money received from the book sells, like for Nook and Kindle can go to supporting the site or whatever ideas we can come up with.
I have a couple of short stories in which I can contribute to this project. We can take the stories and some of the zombie survival tips and some how-to's and create a type of survival, entertainment book that even the newest prepper or vet prepper would like to have in their arsenal to combat the undead.
It's just an idea that I thought up. And figured I would see how others might feel about it. Lets hear the many voices in which combine to make WickedZombies.com the Ultimate zombie site...

yeah i didn't like that either, i was a key contributor their for a while and got a copy it sucked i wonder if they sold any to anyone who wasn't from the site. it sounds interesting if we can pull it off but thats a lot of work even if your crowd sourcing. i'd sure be sweet though.

being those lame asses at LZ cant even work together right. it does not surprise me one bit that the book sucked ass. a lot of us were key contributors to until we got banned from the site for free thinking. lol. they just dont like it when you think outside their set box. like i said. lame asses.

You don't just take someone's story and chop the fuck out of it in order for it to fit what you want. That was total bullshit...
I sure in the FUCK aint wanting to do anything like that...Shit I was talking about actual stories, artwork and useful tips...Not something that is so damn vague that you have no idea what the hell is going on...
I looked in the book, hell if I wanted to do something, where I took pieces of fucking paper and wrote a letter, a note or just a word on it and took a picture of it and added to a book, hell it would have to be part of a story. A story in which one of the characters did it, not just something you might have found on the side of the road blowing the damn wind.
How in the hell can you actually call that a book?? Hell, there wasn't any thought put into it. And from what I saw, the entire things is filled with pictures of notes and shit like that. And none of it has any context to it. It's just there trying to stand on it's own.
Yeah, like I'm paying 9.99 to have some piece of shit bullshit on my Kindle...They're so full of shit. I aint never seen such blatant disrespect for the written word in my life.
NO. NO. NO. This will consist of everyone's own unique storytelling. Because we all have a different way in telling stories. Everyone who submits an entry to this, will get their story put into the book. There'll be no real set timeline in which we will set. Stories could be before the outbreak, during the outbreak, after the outbreak and survival within the world that is now zombies.
At the end of the book, we would place survival tips that cover everything from defense to offense and throw in some how-to's, so those wanting to try and make their own stuff will know how to make it.
All the illustrations and artwork will be featured in the book as, what I like to call, page breaks. Basically they would separate the stories and even the survival tips and that.
From what I saw, they just threw a bunch of shit together and from the way you all talk about it, didn't even really take anyone's stories, they just did what they wanted and hey, Fuck the rest of you...
That's not the WickedZombies.com way here. We're all family and we all share the same responsibility to try and help each other survive throughout the stages of an outbreak. We share our knowledge and I actually thought this would give everyone a chance to showcase their talent or at least share their talent with those who see, feel, smell and taste the same brother or sisterhood we have here.
No one's story, poem, art or whatever they submit will be butchered or rewritten just to please someone else. The book would be more of a joint effort between everyone here.
We will all work together on it. We could maybe make a special group where everyone's stories can be placed up, but no one that isn't a friend of WZ will have access. Or we can find someone we trust to collect all the submitted material till we all have at least one writing per person and see what happens from there...

This is just an idea that I had the other day. I didn't realize another site tried to do something like this. I was looking more towards maybe getting those of us that like to write short stories and draw and have good ideas for simple survival tips and how to make something from what is in the house for zombie defense, could put together a book in which we all put something like either 2 stories, a story and a safety tip, a safety tip and a how to or any combination of two types of writing and submit it.
As for the zombie art within the book, it would be placed in between stories, how-to's and survival tips. Making them the separators so everyone can have their own personal part in the book.
Hell if anyone has an idea on how we can do this, post it up. I'm open to any ideas...
