So remember how the first world war z was plagued with production issues? We'll the sequel int getting off too good a start either. It’s been announced that director Juan Antonio Bayona has left the film due to requirements in regards to finishing up a different film, A Monster Calls.

Paramount, tells The Wrap.

“Bayona is no longer able to make World War Z 2 this year, and it is our ambition to do so. He is a wonderful director and we hope to work with him soon,” 

World War Z 2 is set for release on June 9th, 2017. With all the CGI, and the global scope of the first film. The new movie will have to get into production pretty quickly to make that dead line. The movie already has a script by Steven Knight and Dennis Kelly and original star Brad Pitt is producing. Considering that the original, which was lightly based on Max Brooks book (in name only really), grossed over half a billion worldwide. It explains why Paramount is so eager for a sequel. It’s also Pitt’s largest movie to date. No, really! lol.
