The only thing I would suggest is filling the tank with water...I've seen people do these kind of builds and have the tank catch fire because of none escaped gas...Even with all the venting hardware removed and letting it sit for hours or days, I've seen them pop flames...I've seen weird shit all the time...That's why I say fill with water to force any left over gas or product within the tank out...

   Just a easy safety precaution...

   I think my dad has an old tank somewhere, I might give this one a try this summer....

yeah i heard the same thing propane funny since its heavier then air it can just sit around at the bottom of the tank invisible explosive death.
