R.I.P. David Bowie Dies at 69

We're only 11 days into 2016 and already we have lost too many amazing people. shocking news as following on the heals of the late Angus Scrimm. It has been confirmed that David Bowie legendary musician/actor has passed away at the age of 69 after his prolonged battle with cancer has come to an end.

According to his official Facebook page,

“David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

This comes sadly only days after the release of his 25th studio album Blackstar, which has been met with high praise and critical acclaim. Bowie was a legend in the music world, and his influence touched countless artists. He was pioneer in almost everything he did, and the world has a little less music in it now for his passing.

Rest well Mr. Bowie. You live hard, you fought hard and you rocked hard, thank you for the music!
