as a man who has frequented hospitals. i can give you a good idea of what i do EVERY time i go.

 

1) NO INCAPACITATING PAIN KILLERS (I GRIN AND BEAR IT)

2) BEFORE SURGERY OR ANY OTHER OVERNIGHT PROCEDURE. SURVEY THE FLOOR YOU ARE ON.

3) STUDY YOUR ROOM AND ALL THAT IS IN IT. YOU MAY NEED A GOOD IMPROVISED WEAPON IN A JAM.

4) BRING YOUR OWN WEAPON AND TELL NOBODY!! LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS AND GET YOU KILLED!!! A GOOD PISTOL AND A FEW LOADED MAGAZINES SHOULD DO IT LOCKED IN A SMALL BOX SO HOSPITAL STAFF HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THEM.

5) TAKE NO MORE THEN YOU HAVE TO. THE SMALL DAY PACK LIKE I COVERED IN THE DISCUSSION

"PLANS TO GET HOME!!!" SHOULD BE MORE THEN ENOUGH.

6) IF YOU ARE THERE OVERNIGHT FOR ANY OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE. GRAB SOME EXTRA BANDAGES OFF THE MED CART ON THE WAY OUT. FORGET THE PAIN MEDS!! YOU WILL NEED YOUR MIND CLEAR AND RATIONAL. GET MEDS AND NOT TO MANY OF THEM WHEN YOU GET HOME TO YOUR FAMILY.

 

this is my hospital check list every time i go be it one night or one month. for me its all samey samey.

i guess you could say that. lol. but that check list saved my ass in 1997. tornado grade winds hit the city that summer and did a lot of damage. the hardest hit was the hospital on my end of town. when things got real nasty. i decided to pull the leads and I.V's and got the hell out. ten minutes after i cleared hospital property, a huge lightening bolt hit the hospital and blew a hell of a chunk out of it. well i kept on my merry way till i got home. when i got home, i was greeted by a worried and angry family. the hospital called and wanted to know if i was there or if they should try BODY RETRIEVAL right away. the area the lightening hit. it was my room at the time. the whole room was collapsed inward on itself and if i were in there. i would have been dead right now if not for my list. so when ever i go in. i do my check list right off the top.

 

WHEN IN DOUBT. KNOW YOUR WAY TO GET THE HELL OUT!

mmmm...morphine....dem was da daze!

never seen an angel while i was on it....strange, scary shit!

i would say i would pull the drip out, lock my door, hit the lights.

grab sumthin heavy, and wait out the morphine ride....decide where ta go after that.
