Actually, the easiest way to zombie proof your home or get a really good start on it is by changing out the window and even replacing your front and back doors to heavy metal doors...
But I can do the work with a friend of mine who has taught me a lot of carpentry, plumbing and a few other things when fixing or replacing things in a house...But the pricing would be a little high because you probably live way away from TN...(L)
But, you can go on Angie's list, (Personally hate the site, reason being is I found out that people are being paid by the very contractors they are reviewing for a good write up...), but some like that site...I say google some home contractors and even call a few of the local contractors in your area...Tell them you are worried about security and would like to get a quote for security doors and windows...
You might find a good contractor that won't try and screw you for every dime...Then again you might even find that there's a contractor out there that even believe's in prepping as well...Try googling in your area first then if all else fails, you can try Angie's List...
