Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Long or short, fixed or switch, bowies or butterflys? Which do you carry? During apocalyspe or otherwise? Me? If I'm just going out I carry a 3 inch boot knife but if I expect trouble I carry my 11' bowie knife

Now for the Zpoc I'll carry my Kukri my Bowie and my 2 boot knives

Something small preferably, quick and up close. Machetes are too heavy and don't promise a kill in one swing. A small knife to vital areas of the head would be enough to me.

That would work for me.
I would use a Clip Point Hunting Knive.

I'd have this it covers all eventualities...

main question i have is about fighting styles...personally i am just a hack and chop type guy.
but a dudecan expect that he will be facing more then just zombies.
when it comes to blades. this is my solution.

1) KUKRI KNIFE - this is my primary blade weapon. it was designed just for the purpose of "hack and chop" style combat for the army in Napal.

2) BUCK 119 - this would be my utility and hunting knife. food and fighting a "living" enemy only.

3) AK47 BAYONET - use on the end of my AK47 as a backup when the clip runs dry and no time to change out an empty for a full one.

4) BOOT KNIFE - a CQC knife only. last resort kinda thing.

5) TACTICAL SWITCHBLADE - this would be an absolute drop dead last resort knife for CQC encounters.this little item is a dual action model. can be opened with a thumb stud or the button.

i have something like this but with a thicker blade, with ridges along the back side.

a smaller version of this...good for close combat
other then this i have nothing as i hate firearms....bad exp with them as a kid.
but if i had to i would def use this

sucker fer the boomstick
I like the look of that,it's an attractive gun.
*ridges along the backside ;) lol*
i like your taste in clubs red. this is the one i have.

lol i could not find this pic rhino, but this is the same one i have
a little shorter but same design.

now personally for everyday carry i switch between a no name brand 3 inch pocket folder. i like it cause it a hollow ground with lock to the blade wont swing back on my fingers when i use. i also recently started playing with a bear and son butterfly knife i got myself for my birthday last year. its what they call armor piercing, is a tanto style chisel edge. and i really believe with enough force i cloud stab through almost anything.

now after the fact i will be carrying my 12 kabar police entry tool. Again its a chisel style fixed blade knife with partial serration, a flat tip to be used for prying. and a gut hock like notch that I'm told is for cutting wire. i will also be using my untied cutlery tactical kukri, which i can attest the sharpness of since the first time i used it i over swing and jammed the tip into my big toe. it cut right through my boot and stab all the way to the other side of my toe. the cut was so clean i never felt a thing, and that was after cutting down an entire 10 foot long row of bushes with it.

a knife is multifunctional, but those functions efficiency is based heavily on where you live.

i carry on me at ALL times, a Cold Steel Spartan.   it's a very rugged (large) folder with a hinge that is designed to make it just as strong as a fixed blade.   i have abused this knife for the last 2 years, and even batoned firewood for the campfires we have in our back yard with it.   the edge holds up amazingly well and it's still capable of shredding paper after the firewood incidents.

in addition to this, i always carry a razor sharp credit card folder knife in my wallet.  you never know exactly when you might need one.  for illegal restraints, i carry both a handcuff key and this knife, just in case.

in my EDC(Every Day Carry)  bag, i have a Becker BK@ Campanion.   this is my absolute favorite survival knife.  Thick, Rugged, and so strong it has been advertised as being used as a prybar.     this stays in the bag of course, but that bag goes everywhere with me.  work, out, car etc.   it's 5.5" blade makes it still legal to open carry here in Texas.   it's bigger than the picture makes it look.

now, i USED to have an Angkhola Supreme 13" blade kukri that had a 5/8th inch thick spine in my gear. but the 4.4lbs of weight on it made it a bit too impractical.   i have since retired this blade to my surplus and replaced it with an Estwing Tomahawk.    the reasoning is that while the kurki is an excellent chopper, it is much more suited to wetter climates with different woods.   here in texas, it is alot of smaller wood that i must contend with, but it is usually HARD woods, like pecan and mesquite.   so the kukri while supurb, doesn't perform as efficiently here as it would elsewhere.   combined with the weight issue, it was no longer the best choice.   the tomahawk weights 22 oz.  and cuts better than the kukri on the woods that i have to contend with.

love your companion reminds me a lot of my police tool only meaner. still best knife i ever owned, jsut not useful for combat. unless i baton some over the head with it.
