Hero or Villain
I wonder how many WZ members would be the (Good guys) in the middle of a zombie world ? The way it sounds we all are far more prepared then the rest of civilization and he who has the gun makes the rules. My bet is the line between good and bad would be blurry at best.

i think we all agree people are more dangerous then zombies in a shtf situation. which is why on top of decorating my house with the severed heads of any zombies i find. I'm also gonna take the hand of the first guy to try and steal from me and nailing right to my front door. people have talked about staying hidden and about how defending your stuff will keep people away. but you know the best way to make sure no takes your stuff. scare them, make anyone who's so much as heard your name truly believe that starving to death is better then trying to steal from you. in a world over run by animals how do you survive, by being the meanest motherfucking animal of um all. its worked that way since the down of man. why do you think they use to put peoples heads on pikes in medieval castles. of Romans crucified people. it was to say don't fuck with me, plane and simple. in the words of the most diabolically evil mastermind ever to step foot upon the earth, and tried to concur it with an army of brain washed masses. "nothing says obey me like a blood head on a fence post"! who here thought i was talking about Hitler instead of Stewie Griffin?

Good or Evil. Each of us will have to define those terms ourselves. Good guys, Bad guys will all be in the same category because no one will be wearing a white or black hat. This is why a lot of us have rules that will be applied within our area or at least within our encampment. When these rules are not followed, there are harsh punishments for the breaking of these rules. And some rules if broken, carry the punishment of death.
I've found that within my 40 years of living, those who talk about being this total bad ass or this severe dominating sadist, usually end up being nothing more then a teddy bear who'll melt at the sight of some little girl who looks like she's starving, with big blue (or whatever color) eyes shining the puppy dog face.
We all talk a good game, but we all know, that in order to survive whatever, that we'll have to depend on others. That's why most of us have set up rules for those coming to us. If these people agree to the rules, then they are bound to suffer if these rules are broken in any way.
From what I've seen in years past, those who have tried to be this mean junkyard dog usually end up being one of the ones taken out before they movie in to salvage whatever they can gain. No matter how much we talk big, some if not all of us know, that staying low, staying quiet and staying under the radar will be the main stay for everyone here.
I've seen the biggest and meanest bully on the block be taken down by the quietest and smallest man on the block. I know, cause I was the quiet and small kid. It's not how loud, how cruel or how big the stick you carry is, it's how long you can survive.
It show's throughout history, that those who are using force or intimidation to deter or control what they believe they rule, always end up on the wrong end of a sword, knife, spear, guillotine, hangmen's noose, gun or whatever the form of death penalty calls for.
I'm not saying you're not going to be some bad ass when it's time. But remember, the more the word spreads of how diabolical you are and protective you are over your goods, the more they'll be trying to knock you off your hill. While you want to be noticed, the rest of us or a few of us will be those trying to stay out of the line of fire.
Saint, I hate to say this, but it may only be my way of thinking, but you seem to be one of those guys who want to go out in a blaze of glory or become someone that goes down in history. The bad part about history is, it's written by the winners, not those who end up on the wrong end of the gun. How many of those people who lost are mentioned in history by name?? A few, maybe a few dozen of those who impacted the world by the cruelty that they placed on innocent people.
We all talk like Rambo and stone cold killers here, but we all know that no matter how hard we think we are or talk over the net, the heart is something you can't count out during anytime of crisis...
(LOL) Not trying to call you out, just think its funny how much we talk tough and bad ass on the net. (LOL)
(LOL) On Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, we have a name for those who talk big shit on there, Internet Rambo's....(ROFLMAO)

not really man i just want to live as long as i possibly can if i could live forever you better believe I'll do what ever it takes to do so. but I'll probably create to personality's because one person can not concur the world. to my enemy's i will be an on coming storm. to my allies a saint. or more likely I'll get people to play those roles while i puppet master from behind the scenes. your right we'll never know what we'll be like until the times come. but i really just want to know how many of you will play mad max and who will be lord humongous?

In our culture most people want to see good triumph over evil so the villain usually loses. Villains represent all that is evil. The villains are often described and shown to be more powerful and/or smarter than the hero to present a threat to and thus risk for the hero. The hero must have something at risk and overcome a true threat to be truly heroic.

In the classic zombie apocalypse situation, things would break down lickety-split. Ammunition and explosives would go really, really fast. Faster than you can imagine. For the average guy who has guns, it wouldn't matter how many firearms he had. Unless he had powder and knew how to manufacture it and reload cartridges (my wife has all of that shit, so I've seen how it all works), they'd come to the end of the road in quick order.
Then there's the other shit. Food. Clean water. Medicine. We've all forgotten how dangerous the world used to be before something as simple as alcohol and soap. Without that stuff...you're going to succumb. You just are.It's actually pretty hopeless. Which is why I always look at the zombie apocalypse as an extinction event and not just a new world order. Eventually...everyone is going to end up either as a zombie, or zombie chow. No one lives. No one. No matter how well prepared they are.

personally. i am neither the hero or the villain. neither the good guy or bad guy. i am the survivor. and do whats needed to do so. i am not above building a community nor destroying one to survive. when it comes down to it. we all would end up doing some pretty evil shit to accomplish the objective at hand. live to see another day. its just the way it is. the fine line we will have to walk in a world where there is no law. no form of morality. and ANYTHING goes.
