The way that special effects are made is amazing. I wish I could get involved!

from what they show it looks like The Thing on a ship

it does doesn't it. i just hope its better then the remake. id love to help them out cause i love practical effects but i aint got no money.

he was right. the 1980's WAS the prime age for his artwork. and they (Hollywood) need to go back to this sort of work. it was very "hands on" and as a result a better production to enjoy. i loved the 1982 remake of the 1940's movie THE THING with Curt Russel. and i must admit as a result. i love what they did with the ship in the video clip they made. EPIC! and the best zombie movies were the movies like George A. Romero or Tom Savini made. the CGI stuff is good. but it makes things so out of this world cost wise. that Hollywood just does not want to invest in them and they be a flop in the box office. and when it comes to the remake of the thing. it does sadden me that they went CGI for a lot of this. but instead of calling this a remake. they need to call it a prequel to the 1982 movie. reason being that in the 2011 movie. they picked up where the Norwegians found it first. hence after all the credits, they showed the man shooting at the dog from the chopper like they did in the 1982 version.
