Fear the Walking Dead Returns This April 10th, But is it a Good Thing?

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Season 2

Fear the walking dead AMC's spin off series of the widely successful Walking Dead will be crawling its way back onto TV Sunday, April 10 at 9 p.m. How ever weather that is a good thing are not is widely disputed. In my humble opinion this is the spin of that no body asked for. Taking place during the begin of the zombie apocalypse. A time when the world suddenly changed for reason yet unknown and before anyone knew what was happening. Except for the main cast of course who despite living a world with no concept of zombies, some how manged to immediately recognize the signs of reanimation and act accordingly.

This was my problem with the show in a nut shell, they just treated the whole thing to well. the dead have just started to rise and day one the schools shut down. and with in no time a major metropolitan city is closed up tighter then a drum with no signs or civil unrest. people just seam to except extraordinary beyond belief situations to quickly. It took the cast of the main show three season before they came to grips with what was happening and all but rick of them had been living with it for months. people should have been panicking and denying what was going on as much as Hershel did back on the farm.

Anyway, season one left off with Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis) and their extended family hiding out in Strand’s (Colman Domingo) gated estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As the dead take over Los Angeles, Strand prepares to escape to “Abigail,” his large yacht moored offshore. Accordion to the first shot leaked by AMC, pictured above, the first epsidoe at least will take place on the water. The 15-episode season will be split into two parts with the first seven episodes airing in the spring, starting in April, and the back half airing later in 2016.

While the possibility of dealing with life on the water the zombie apocalypse interests me. This mild curiosity is not enough promise for me to waste my time on this show a second go round. I'll just wait the real walking dead to return, like AMC should of done when this spin off was first pitched.

What do you think, do you like fear the walking dead, are you gonna watch the second season? Can the ridiculous non-human reactions of the cast from the first season possible be redeemed another go around? Tell me down below I want to hear from you!

Now on top of plopping out another season of fear the walking dead. AMC is planning another spin off. Oh I'm sorry companions series. Because apparently AMC doesn't like the word spin off. Source, in an interview with Vulture, AMC network chief Charlie Collier adamant stated that they are not doing “spin-offs”, elaborating on calling them..

“companion shows”, stating, “If we had taken a couple of characters out of the camp and sent them on the road and followed that — that would have been a spin off. We didn’t do that. We made the decision … to do a companion series, and, in fact, to show you what was happening in the world when Rick was sleeping in the original series.

In the same interview Collier stated quite clearly the networks plant to produce more of these Crappy knockoff show watering down the awesomeness that is the walking dead.

The answer is we are open to ideas that feel organic to the creators in whom we’ve put our trust. So if Robert had a world he wanted to explore, you can bet that we are not just leaning into that conversation, but we’re actively engaging in it. Right now we’re not in that conversation, and there’s nothing to report at all. I’m a huge believer in Robert and the executive producers of these shows. We wanted to create a place where they would bring us their creative dreams and bring us their passion projects. If Robert had another one, we would absolutely engage. This is a world that is rich enough to handle it. Right now we’re just focused on these two.

So while the network treats its crew like shit they go on to pump out more clones hoping to capitalize on the amazingness that is the walking dead. Greedy networks like this are the reason why TV is so crap right now, and i doubt it will be long before they ruin the walking dead like they have countless shows before it.

I liked Fear the Walking Dead...Gives you a peek inside what's going on in other parts of The Walking Dead world...I'll be watching it, because no matter how bad something gets, you can pull out something something useful...I mean I binge watch Z-Nation when it hit Netflix...Why?? I've never really had a real liking to it...But I watch it...

Anyways, flooding the TV world with to many spin offs, would make the parent series less desirable to watch due to the spin offs would end up recycling the same story lines over and over....The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead are enough for now till either one or the other ends....

i agree, though i still dont like fear the walking dead

I just want the son to get bit so his drug addicted ass will get off the show...(LOL) A lot of people don't like it because it moves slow...Which is cool...I would have liked to see the mini-sodes of the kid on the plane become or play a bigger part then just 3 minute pieces of commercial style side story....

yeah i thought those were much better but it might just be cause you always want to know whats happening next. if it came out all at once and you saw it that way for the first and only time it may be different hard to say.

There’s no safe harbor from the undead in the latest of several teases that looks like a homage to Zombi and maybe even the tail end of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead.

“Fear the Walking Dead” will return with its second season on Sunday, April 10 at 9 p.m.

Granted a lot of people didn't like Fear the Walking Dead...But I did...It was slow and I think they could have worked out a little more in the story line, but as a stand alone spin off, I think it has room to grow into something more then just another spin off...I actually wish they would space it out a little more and run a few more episodes in the series, but if they begin to develop and evolve the characters, I think they might have another hit...But we have to look at Fear The Walking Dead as a totally different story line...We all wanted to see how the world turned dead while Rick was in his coma...This is something I feel was a little more rushed...Yes, they could have made it a little more exciting while they moved the story along as slow as they did...And maybe they should have went into a little more detail on the fall of society, but if you actually go back and watch the first season again, pay a little more attention on the backing in the scenes...You'll see a little more then the first time you watched....As for the second season, I think it'll be cool if they kind of hang at the house for a few episodes and then when they take to the water the damn drug addict falls in and drowns....Or is eaten by a zombie and see what happens to The Walking Dead zombies when they get high...(LOL) We already know what happens when Z Nation zombies get stoned....(ROFLMAO)

hahahaha yeah that would be funny. well see if season two can pull in a bigger audience and learn from its mistakes. and not jsut be another cash grab to cash in on the phenomenon that is the walking dead.
