YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Curriculum for next seasons Zombie Survival Course - what do we need to add?

Hello everyone!

We are working on the curriculum for next seasons Zombie Survival Course.  I have listed the topics that we teach at the weekend course.

I wanted to know if there is anything you think we should offer.

Keep in mind we only have a few hours Friday night all day Saturday and try to wrap up about 4:00 on Sunday.  Most of the time on Sunday is working with the firearms.  Chances are good if we add something we may have to take something away.

Learn how to find and create a safe environment and shelter.  –

  • What to expect – first 72 hours after a outbreak or natural disaster
  • Self-defense – Zombitsu (hand to hand – worse case scenario…)
  • Melee weapons - blades and blunt weapons and training on how to use them
  • Crossbow training
  • Firearms training- ammunition, Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle (live ammo)
  • How to stay healthy now and then (nutrition requirements and fitness)
  • Leadership class and Dealing with other survivors ( friend or foe)
  • Advanced first aid (sutures, injections etc..)
  • Learn how to collect, prepare and store your supplies ( food storage to bug-out-bag)
  • How to acquire transportation (hotwire a car?)

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you
Mark

You have a fantastically rounded course, and I hope that I will get the opportunity to sign up for it sometime in the near future!

With regards to anything else that may be of interest on the subject, I have always wanted to have an alternative medicine or home remedy lesson for situations when your store bought pharmaceuticals or first aid components were not readily available.

VERY GOOD THOUGHT!

Both great ideas.  When I was recruiting trainers I looked hard to find and spoke to a few Pharmacist.  I wanted to add a course on what you should grab from the pharmacy.  Knowing that what most people will go for would be more recreational that practical…lol.  I will look into your idea…I like it.

As far as alternative transportation…sweet idea…love it.  I will pass that on Ed (The Reverend) who teaches how to hot wire a car and what type of transportation to pick.

Thank for you help…

Mark

Looks absolutely fantastic :D

What about traps, decoys, barricading and fortressing, disposing of corpses, leaving communications for survivors that kind of thing?

Also supplies and food are key issues. Where to find, how to store, how to prepare food, and so on.

creating alternative fuels? (bio-fuels, wood gas, etc.)
