YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
Travis Z’s Cabin Fever remake will be releasing in limited theaters (New York and Los Angeles) and on Digital HD February 12th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
IFC Midnight's almost shot for shot remake of Eli Roth’s 2002 film of the same name stars Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Samuel Davis, Nadine Crocker, and Dustin Ingram.
“The story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying—only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on a horror-comedy milestone.”
The trailer bring us rehashing of many familiar scenes, such as the leg shaving one that all but put the original in the history books while also introducing new concepts. Like the addition of guns and a really infected dog and nasty looking dog. It will be interesting if nothing else to see what a different film maker will do with basically the same screen play.
I loved the original cabin fever and am on the fence about this remake. to many great horror films have been remade into water downed trash only meant to squeeze a few more penny's out of die hard horror fans. But since even Roth him self said he was impressed with this remake then i guess its worth giving it a chance. It can't be any worse then the sequels.

So what do you guys think? are you excited for this redo or do you think its a slap in the face to the original film. For me it just makes me feel old. i remember when this movie came out and was a new thing. 2002 feels like it was just yesterday but really it was 14 years ago.
