TIME! How long do you think the war will last against the undead??

This will be the end. It becomes a game of surviving the longest. It isn't really a war against the undead, it is just the goal of not being eaten that day. Things will never go back after this event I believe. Human can hold out for a while, but death will win.

I am not religious AT ALL, but if the dead reanimate and begin to fucking eat my family, then I believe that it is truly the end times. Whether it is god or the devil or enlil and enki or the annunaki or the siquissm or whatever. This will not be a chemical weapon or anything like that. I welcome supernatural crazy stuff, but somethings I doubt can be reversed. I plan on kicking the shit out of some zombies myself, but hopeless does ultimately come to mind. The "Zwar" itself could go on for centuries though, who knows. I like to think people like the hardcore fuckers on this site might stand a chance to hold up and even repopulate, but it would only be a matter time I am sure. Never give up... ...unless already bitten of course.

Same here. I may not kill them all, but I will kill all of them in my area. We may never winthe war, but I feel it is very possible to establish safe zones, and hold these for an extended (read indefinite) period of time. Given that this will be a war of attrition, I cannot guarantee absolute victory, but the enemy will not coordinate planned and complicated offensives, and so holding down the fort will be possible. And I totally agree with Rhino here. I will be one of thosse hard cores. I may not live as long as some of them, but I will make the others proud when I go out.

You have to compare the amount of ammo produced to the people on Earth. IF every person who lived on Earth were expert marksmen, that would mean one bullet for every infected person. If 50% of the population was infected..well I'm bad at math but theres billions of people on the planet, so I'll leave the mathematics to the egg heads. Unfortunatly, not everyone on Earth are expert marksmen, so many people would fire around 3 or 4 rounds before sucessfully putting down an infected.

My point is, with only only so many bullets, and rapidly increasing infected rising, we'd be out of ammo quickly. The infected don't use ammo. We do. Once weir out of ammo, weir screwed. They can't be screwed, because they can produce their own so called "ammo" by simply biting someone. Unless eradicated during early stages, I take great discomfort in knowing we'd be all royally fucked in a prolonged war with the undead.

But, humans are capable of some crazy things. So ya never know.

in WWII the Soviet Union alone produced more than 3 times the current world population in ammunition, only for the Mosin Nagant 7.62 rifle. we still use Soviet surplus ammo. With a proper and prompt response, what is the logical result of the response of the full weight of the American military? What about every other country on earth? Ammo won't be the problem, although procuring it very well may be. Even when it runs out, we have other means. Home made explosives, flammable weapons, other projectiles, and melee weapons will serve. And the zed numbers are limited to an approximate 4.6 billion, maybe if the dead and buried do animate as well, then we can add another 4 or 5 billion, but the other corpses are already too far decayed to reanimate ( no muscle left, no walking). So it becomes a mathematically feasible concept, but the reality will only be proven in one way, and I'd rather never know...

i get what you are saying here. i got to point out one thing here though. when it gets down to it, zombies are limited to the rough 4.6 billion. reason being the ones that are buried will never see the light of day. they will have to fight through an aluminum casket, a burial vault, then about six foot of earth. the only ones that would add to the ranks are the ones that are bitten and live or the ones entombed in a moselium above ground. the real additional 4 or 5 million add on. i do however think that ammo towards the end will be hard to find. hence i do feel it needed to learn to reload empty brass. especially for bolt action rifles for these would be the line of distance defence.

i like to think to the possitive and hope it will be just long enough for the komradz to reform the world like our mandate set by Komrad Kommissar Fennek. however, if it turns into a long haul like we all think it will. then that is what we sighned on for. after all our service is for life. so as we all say.

I want to think like yourself but im a realest. I love this site. I love the komradz and stand by what we represent. But to be honest. If this shit really happens. It an't going to happen like this. All the preperation in the world an't going to prepare you for the un prepareble. Its that simple. Just take the swine flu for example. It was pretty much almost done a few months back. Now its back stronger then ever with a 90 thousand death toll for this year alone. Why? Cause the human race thinks itself invincible. And thats a complex that just doesn't go away. Its a part of being human unfortanetly. So to answer the question. I think its going to be short and simple. With us being the extenct speices and the dead being the ruling class of this planet taking are place.
