Mermaid Zombies
Well, not exactly. My creative partner Jenny has done a series of mermaid illustrations that challenge the traditional image of a mermaid. They are all based on species of fish indigenous to bodies of water here in the Midwest.
I'm really proud of what she has created, and although I know it's not zombie related, I wanted to share it with this community. In terms of real zombie news, I don't have much to report. About a year after my heart surgery I'm glad I haven't become one, although having replacement parts from other humans inside me nearly qualifies. On occasion I'll have some strange, foreign scrap of a memory or snippet of dream I feel might belong to someone else.

Lately I've been considering collecting either VHS or Beta tapes of movies I love. I didn't realize that horror movies usually go for a lot more than other types of movies. For instance, I thought it would be a snap to collect the Thriller Video series of Elvira Mistress of the Dark tapes. Think again. Thirty dollars a pop. Has anyone else gone back to watching movies on VHS. I can't say it's better the same way vinyl records are, but it sure does bring back some memories. I have had the same copy of Dawn of the Dead for twenty-five years now, and expect it to snap every time I play it. But it lives on.

I'm thinking of buying a Betacord 6400, the first VCR our family owned. I was thinking last week among the skills Millennials have no use for is knowing exactly how long to hold down the stop/eject button so you can start rewinding without ejecting the tape.

They are Venessa, but like vinyl records, it breaks my heart to have to buy things again that I used to have and threw away. I bought a Wizard Video video store display for the movie Zombiethon, and I've never even taken it out of the package yet.

The zombie Mermaids are so pretty Thank you so much for sharing.
Now I do not have any movies on VHS but I am sure that the collectibles are worth some $$$!
