About You?
I am a big fan of Zombies. Well, let me refine that. I am a big fan of Surviving Zombies. So much so that I created a line of Apparel called Zombie Survivor. In a world filled with brainless creatures, there are only two signs that let others know you're living, warm-blooded human. One is a sign on your house that reads "Alive Inside". The other is one of our Z-Shirts (we don't do T-Shirts).
My Opinion Of How/When And/Or What "Z-Day" Will Be...
Z-Day is a very possible occurrence. Viruses, flus, infections, etc... are evolving all the time. We already have flesh-eating viruses. We have diseases that shut down all but the bare essential parts of the brain that leave us driven on pure instinct. No memory, thoughts, new memories, perceiving the world around you. All of that; gone. One day, a virus will combine all of those things and that day will be Z-Day.
In The First Hours Of "Z-Day" I Would Go...
Straight to my house. I would barricade it with cars, gather supplies, fill all containers I can with water, gather weapons, bring a ladder upstairs, destroy my staircase (use 2nd floor windows and latter for leaving house if necessary), and begin to plan for long-term survival. I would leave the house for as long as possible. The world would be utter mayhem. During the early days, I would be more afraid of the widespread panic of living humans than of the widespread infection of the undead.
My Ideal Weapon(s) To Use During "Z-Day"...
Katana sword, no question (maybe a Hatori Hanzo sword for you Kill Bill fans out there). No reloading necessary, sharp enough to decapitate, and it can't jam up on you at just the wrong moment.
Other Than Zombies I Would Have To Worry About...
People. In the very early days during "the spread", massive panic would cause people to be trampled to death, killed for supplies, or killed out of pure paranoia. After things have settled, I would still be wary of people who were looking to kill for survival supplies.
