This is a movie that tries to do a lot of things. It's a zombie movie, it's a comedy, and it even attempts to be political satire. Does it do all these things well -- no, but it isn't totally bad.

It takes a while to get going. They tease you with zombies at the start of the movie and then the first attack takes place about 30 minutes into the movie. It is a good one, though.

The acting is fairly good with some actors better than others, but no on is terrible. The special effects are good with plenty of gore.

The jokes are uneven and some of the direction is weak in places, but there are worse zombie movies out there. My biggest problem is that it takes too long to get going.
Zombie Nightstag:www.wickedzombies.com,2014-02-27:2826695:Topic:5244902014-02-27T22:27:12.508ZR.J.
I'll admit that while I love just about anything zombie, especially movies, this is one that requires some patience.

It starts out badly with bad direction and some weak scripting, but it does get better, then gets worse and then gets better. I guess the best way to capture it is to say it's uneven.

So corners are cut and there's not a lot of originality.

It has a decent cast with Anthony Michael Hall of The Dead Zone, Daryll Hannah of Splash, and Alan Ruck of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Plus there's Shirley Jones, former momma on The Partridge Family.

The weak start hurts the movie, but it does get better. It did have a long way to go to get to good, but it almost reaches decent.

I've always wondered ...

Do other people separate zombie movies and infection movies

Or do most people consider them all zombie movies?

For instance, to me a true zombie movie is where literally a walking corpse is among the living, like Night of the Living Dead. But movies like, Quarantine and The Crazies, I consider infection films.

But, I know theres a lot of people out there who would just put all those within the same category.
