Through the eyes of the dead
Life is truly seen
Walking, staggering alone, lost
No thoughts, no feelings
Empty shell
We gaze upon this creature
Looking down with noses up
ignnoring our fate, as our time stumbles near
The eyes of the dead see clearly
while the living are blind.
I didnt put much thought into this one, just sort of winged it off the top of my head...
Ill begin with one of my favorites by Tupac Shakur, yes he was one of the greatest rappers of all time, but he is also an outstanding poet:
The Rose That Grew From Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.
